I recently made a guest-appearance on the blog Townie Talk. We discussed at length my opinions of President Obama.



As these two wonderful young college students reminded me, I have not been keeping myself informed. I decided to do some research over at Politifact to see how my perceptions of the world around me lined up with reality.

Checking out the Obameter it looks like Mr. President is off to a good start for his first eight months in office. As of the writing of this post his record is 43 promises kept, 11 compromises, and 95 in the works. There are, however 12 stalled and 7 promises broken. Oh, and 347 No Action but hey, we're not even a year into the first term.

There are a lot of healthcare-related campaign promises in the works. Unfortunately we can't watch healthcare debates on CSPAN, but at least he got a puppy

One correction, though. They refer to me as a native of Cortland. This is not entirely true. I do spend a significant amount of time in Cortland, but I am an Ithacan.

. I also have this old casio keyboard I got when I was a kid. Came with a sweet NKOTB sheet music book (see below).









So far I have done some reading, but not much soldering. Hopefully I will post some positive results in the near future
